Coming full circle

The air shimmered with a presence I couldn’t see. I noticed my feet were becoming invisible and then visible. Is this how shape-shifting begins, I asked myself? There was no going back now. My legs were disappearing and now my torso and arms. There was only my head left, so I had to trust. I closed my eyes for a full minute. I counted the seconds slowly. The heavy scent of lavender hit my nostrils, forcing my eyes open to a rocky precipice. All of me stood straight. I watched a Bird of Prey overhead with its talons open. Its claws grabbed me around the waist and carried me slowly and gently through the air. I now sensed the presence of something unknown. Light illuminated a circle of beings who had song sheets and were gathering to sing.
I swayed in the air as the Bird gently placed me in the circle, and the singing began.

You know the answers
Sing with us 
Joyously
Clearly
Remember the ancients
We are all one

A songsheet landed in my lap, and I moved to make way for another being to be placed in the centre of the circle. 
I began singing, 
Sing with us
Joyously

This went on for hours until the air shimmered no longer, and we were complete.
